Scutellaria incana, or Downy Skullcap, is native to the southeastern US, as well as the lower Great Lakes and Ohio River Valley. It is a perennial that grows in dry to moist woods, bluffs, streamsides, ditches, fens and along woodland edges. It blooms in mid to late summer with blue-purple flowers.
