Sanguisorba canadensis, or Canadian Burnet, is native to the much of the eastern US, as well as the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. It is a perennial that grows in wet areas, like swamps, bogs and ditches. It blooms in late summer into fall with white plumes of flowers.
