Rosa setigera, or Climbing Rose, is native to the much of the eastern US, especially the Ozarks and Central US, and extending into the Great Lakes area. It is a perennial that grows in open prairies, fields, meadows, as well as along streams and in open woods and on woodland edges. It blooms in mid summer with pink flowers.
