Oenothera triloba, or Stemless Evening Primrose, is native to the south-central US, and also extends into the Ozarks and Blue Ridge area. It is either a biennial or an annual, depending on when seeds germinate. It grows in dry, gravelly areas like roadsides, slopes, ravines, hillsides, prairies and other rocky areas. It blooms in late spring to mid summer with light yellow flowers.
