Monarda clinopodia, or White Bee Balm, is native mostly to the Appalachian region of the US, but also extending into Indiana, Illinois and Missouri, and possibly Michigan. It is a perennial that grows in dry, rocky woods and along woodland edges. It blooms in late spring into mid summer with white to yellowish flowers.
