Macbridea caroliniana, or Carolina Bogmint, is native only to South Carolina, and a couple of counties in both Georgia and North Carolina, and it is rare where it does occur. It is a perennial that grows in moist but not flooded bogs, seepages, savannas and ditches. It blooms in mid summer into late fall with pink flowers.
