Lysimachia hybrida, or Lowland Yellow Loosestrife, is native a large portion of the US, being recorded in forty states; it is not present in most of the Western states, or in the far South-Central US. It is a perennial that grows in wet to moist areas, like wet meadows and prairies, streambanks and pond margins. It blooms in mid summer with yellow flowers.
