Euphorbia cyathophora, or Fire on the Mountain, is native to the Central United States, and into the southeast and southwest. It is an annual that grows in disturbed areas, along roadsides, on woodland edges and in open woods and in floodplains. It blooms from mid summer into fall with yellow flowers that have orange bracts that look like Poinsettia plants.

This plant looks similar to some other members of the genus. More information will be posted at a later time about differentiating other species.
