Delphinium carolinianum, or Carolina Larkspur, is native to the central US, and also extends into some parts of the Southeast and Southwest. It is a perennial that grows in dry, rocky wood, along woodland edges and in prairies and fields. It blooms in mid spring to early summer with bright blue flowers.
