Dalea leporina, or Foxtail Prairie Clover, is native to the south central US and the Southwest. It is an annual that grows in open woods, glades, on bluffs, and along roadsides, in waste areas and in open fields and prairies. It blooms from mid summer into fall with whiteish to purple flowers.

This plant looks similar to some other members of the genus. More information will be posted at a later time about differentiating other species.
