Croton lindheimeri, or Woolly Croton, is native to the south-central United States, and the southeast. It is an annual that grows in sandy soils of dry prairies, pastures, rocky hills, open woodlands and along roadsides. It blooms from late summer into fall with small yellow flowers.

This plant looks similar to some other members of the genus. More information will be posted at a later time about differentiating other species.
