Coreopsis nuecensoides, or Rio Grande Tickseed, is native only to eastern and southeastern Texas. It is an annual or short-lived perennial that grows in open prairies and meadows. It blooms from early spring into early summer, with bright yellow flowers with a brown ring around the center.
