Coreopsis latifolia, or Broadleaf Tickseed, is native only to a small smattering of counties in the Southern Appalachians, in the areas where Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia meet. It is a perennial that grows in moist, open woods and along woodland edges. It blooms in late summer into fall with yellow flowers.
