Collomia grandiflora, or Large Flower Mountain Trumpet, is native to most of the Western half of the US. It is a large flowered annual that grows in dry woods, clearings and woodland edges. It blooms from late spring to mid summer, with tubular flowers that tend to start out cream or whitish and turn salmon to light orange with time.

This plant looks similar to some other members of the genus. More information will be posted at a later time about differentiating other species.
