Chelone glabra, or White Turtlehead, is native to the most of the eastern half of the US. It is a perennial that grows in wet areas, like ditches, swales, pond and lake margins, swamps, bogs and fens. It blooms in mid summer into fall with white flowers that are sometimes tinged with pink.
