Baptisia megacarpa, or Bigpod Wild Indigo, is native to only a narrow area of the Florida panhandle and adjacent areas in Georgia and Alabama, where it is rare. It is a perennial that grows in open woodlands, woodland edges, in floodplains and ravines. It blooms in mid to late spring through early summer with cream-colored flowers.
