Allium allegheniense, or Allegheny Onion, is native only to a small strip of counties in West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina. It is a perennial that grows rocky outcrops at highish elevations in the Appalachian Mountains. It blooms in late summer and early fall with dark pink flowers.
