Ageratina aromatica, or Lesser Snakeroot, is native to most of the eastern third of the US, but is absent from the most northern part of New England. It is a perennial that grows in dryish open woods, slopes and rocky forested areas, as well as long trails and roads. It blooms in late summer into fall with small white flowers.
