Trillium cernuum, or Nodding Trillium, is native only to the northeastern quarter United States. It is a perennial that grows in moist, open woods, along streamsides, and in swamps and marshes, in acidic soil. It blooms in mid to late spring with white flowers that hang below the leaves.
