Toxicodendron radicans, or Poison Ivy, is native to the eastern and central United States. It is a perennial vine or sometimes shrub, that grows in almost any conditions, but frequently is found in moist locations, often in woods, either open or thick, but also in prairies, yards, parking lots, disturbed areas, along buildings and houses, on roadsides, along railroads, on fences or other areas where plants grow. It blooms in late spring with green, inconspicuous flowers, which are often high up on the plant.
