Tofieldia glutinosa, or Sticky Asphodel, is a relatively rare plant; it is native to the Great Lakes region, and has very rare instances throughout the northern half of the Appalachian Mountain area. It is a perennial that grows in fens, seeps, wet meadows and along shorelines.
