Silphium wasiotense, or Appalachian Rosinweed, is a rare plant, native only to a handful of counties in southeastern Kentucky and northeastern Tennessee. It is a perennial that grows dryish meadows, prairies, open woods and along woodland edges. It blooms in mid summer through fall with medium to large yellow-gold flowers.
