Scutellaria integrifolia, or Helmet Flower, is native to the southeastern US, and the Appalachian area and the eastern Central US. It is a perennial that grows in dry to moist open woods, and along woodland edges. It blooms in late spring and early summer with purple-blue flowers that have a spot of white in the center.
