Salvia lyrata, or Lyreleaf Sage, is native to approximately the southeastern third of the United States. It is a perennial that grows in open woods, on woodland edges, in fields and prairies, along roadsides and in waste places. It blooms in early spring through early summer with light blue tubular flowers.
