Rubus odoratus, or Flowering Raspberry, is native to some of the Eastern US - it is found in all of the Appalachian states and mountain areas, but also in small portions of Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois. It is a perennial shrub, that grows on moist to dryish shorelines, along roadsides, on mountain sides or cliffs and in open, but partly shady woods. It blooms in summer with light to deep pink flowers.
