Rosa blanda, or Smooth Rose, is native to the northeastern quarter of the United States, as well as the upper Central US. It is a perennial shrub that grows in fields, prairies, along woodland edges, along roads and railroads and on beaches. It blooms in late spring and early to mid summer with light pink flowers.
