Potentilla anserina, or Silverweed, is native to most of the US, except the Southeast and south-central US. It is a perennial that grows in moist areas, like beaches and shorelines, as well as on the edges of swamps and moist roadsides. It blooms in mid summer through fall with yellow flowers.
