    Paronychia canadensis, or Forked Nailwort, is native to about the eastern half of the United States. It is an annual that grows in sandy soil, often in oak openings, Jack pine stands, or other open, sandy areas. It blooms from early summer into fall, with very small white-green flowers.

    This plant looks similar to some other members of the genus. More information will be posted at a later time about differentiating other species.
