Monarda pectinata , or Pony Beebalm, is native to the central and southwestern United States. It is an annual that grows in dry, sandy plains, grasslands and prairies.

There are three similar southern Monardas: Monarda citriodora, Monarda clinopodiodes and Monarda pectinata. More information will be posted soon on distinguishing these species.
