Mimosa nuttallii, or Nuttall's Sensitive Briar, is native to the Central US. It is a perennial that grows in open, disturbed areas, like along railroads, roadsides, as well as in prairies and meadows. It blooms in summer with striking pink flowers like pom-poms.
