Kalmia polifolia, or Bog Laurel, is native only to the northeastern quarter of the United States. It is a perennial shrub, that is evergreen and grows in open wet woods, bogs, fens, swamps and along shorelines. In late spring through mid summer, it has striking pink flowers.
