Hydrocotyle americana, or Marsh Pennywort, is native to the northeastern United States, the Great Lakes area, and into the Appalachian Mountains. It is a perennial that grows in moist places like marshes, swamps, bottomland forests and seeps. It blooms in late spring into mid summer with small green flowers.
