Hieracium umbellatum, or Northern Hawkweed, is native to about the northern half of the continental United States. It is a perennial that grows in dry meadows, fields, prairies, and in open woods and along trails, roads and roadsides. It blooms in mid summer to late summer with yellow flowers.
