Hieracium scabrum, or Rough Hawkweed, is native to about most of the eastern half of the continental United States. It is a perennial that grows in dry meadows, fields, prairies, as well as in open woods and along trails, roads and roadsides. It blooms in mid summer to late summer with yellow flowers.
