Hieracium paniculatum, or Allegheny Hawkweed, is native all the Appalachian states, as well as Michigan and Indiana. It is a perennial that grows in dryish meadows, fields, prairies, in open woods and along trails, roads and roadsides. It blooms in mid summer to late summer with yellow flowers.
