Gentiana andrewsii, or Bottle Gentian, is native to the northeastern quarter of the continental US. It is a perennial that grows moist prairies, openings and clearings, along woodland edges and creek and river sides. It blooms in mid to late fall, even into November, with blue closed flowers.
