Eutrochium maculatum, or Spotted Joe Pye Weed, is native to most of the northern half of the US, and is also present in the Rocky Mountain area and the northern part of the Southeast. It is a perennial, that grows in moist meadows and prairies, along roadsides, ditches, thickets and open woods.
