Dimorphocarpa wislizeni, or Spectacle Pod, is a native annual from the Southwestern US. It grows in dry, sandy areas, like dunes, roadsides and desert flats. It blooms in the spring, but can continue into summer, or bloom again later, if water supply is enough.

This species has large seed pods, which help distinguish it from other members of the mustard family to which it belongs. More information is forthcoming on telling this species apart from its close cousins in the same genus.
