Collinsia verna, or Blue Eyed Mary, is native much of the eastern half of the United States, but is absent in the deep south. It is an annual that grows in moist areas of open woods, as well as meadows. It blooms in mid to laye spring with flowers that are blue and white.

This plant looks similar to some other members of the genus. More information will be posted at a later time about differentiating other species.
