Cerastium arvense, or Field Chickweed, is native most of the United States, except the Southeast. It is a perennial that grows in prairies, fields and meadows, and in rocky areas, like open woods, edges of woods and along trails and roads. It blooms in mid to late spring with bright white flowers.
