Cakile edentula, or Sea Rocket, is native to Atlantic coastal states, as well as the Great Lakes coasts, and is adventive to the Pacific coast. It grows in the sand along the oceans and Great Lakes, where it is an annual the blooms from the middle summer until frost.

There are four native species and one non-native that can be found in the US. This species has the widest distribution and can be found in all the coastal states, as well as Great Lakes states. It has large, succulent leaves and light pink flowers.
