Asclepias humistrata, or Pinewoods Milkweed, is native to the southeastern United States. It is a perennial that grows in dry, open woods, along roadsides and in meadows, prairies, fields, outcrops and glades, in dry, usually sandy soil. It blooms in early to mid spring with light pink flowers.
