Amsonia illustris, or Ozark Bluestar, is native to the Ozark region of United States - mostly found in Missouri, but alos in the surrounding states. It is a perennial that grows in open woods, along woodland edges, in fields and prairies, along roadsides and railroads. It has light blue flowers in late spring.
