Allium cernuum, or Nodding Onion, is native to most of the continental United States, except it is not reported from Florida, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Nevada, California or the Northeastern states. It is a perennial, that grows in moist to dryish meadows, prairies, open woodlands, slopes, outcrops and clearings.
