Actaea rubifolia, or Appalachian Bugbane, is a rare plant, native only to Tennessee, Kentucky and southern Indiana and Illinois, and is rare in those areas, growing only in a few scattered locations. It is a perennial, that grows in moist to dryish open woods and along streamsides.
